For us, that moment came in 2008 on our honeymoon in Belize. We'd always been drawn to adventure -- mountain biking, kayaking, backpacking, and even adventure races -- but that trip showed us how wild and welcoming, adventurous and mindful travel could feel.

The Journey That Changed Everything

Years later, glamping under the Patagonian skies, we discovered something important: luxury and adventure can coexist beautifully. You can hike the windswept trails, share stories with local guides, sleep beneath the stars -- and still return to a cozy, eco-conscious haven each night.

That was the moment we knew we wanted to help others experience travel this way too.

How We Travel (and Plan for You)

At Peregrine, we create journeys for people who want more than just a vacation. Whether it's:

Family Travel

We travel this way with our three kids -- usually somewhere wild and natural, like a national park -- and we seek out opportunities to take adventures just the two of us, often to more far-flung places.

We know what it's like to juggle busy schedules (from soccer to dance, gymnastics to cheer), long travel wish lists (our kids are travel advisors in the making!), and our desire to make every journey matter.

I've always loved adventure -- sometimes on a mountain bike, sometimes jumping out of airplanes, and plenty of times with a heavy pack and a long trail ahead. The outdoors has been my classroom for as long as I can remember, from growing up hunting and fishing to backpacking, kayaking, and even serving overseas in the military, where I learned that the best journeys are as much about the people you meet as the places you see.

These days, I find joy in helping others design their own kind of adventure -- whether that's a family hiking trip, a slow exploration of a faraway culture, or something with a little more of a "hold my beer" type of energy, if you know what I mean.

I'm a perfectionist when it comes to planning, and I'll go out of my way to make your trip unforgettable. I believe great travel should be exhilarating "out there" and effortless when you "come back".

Give me a rugged trail from dawn to dusk, a cozy cabin by night, and an IPA (or an old fashioned) in my hand -- that's when I'm in my element.

For nearly two decades I worked in healthcare -- first in nursing homes, then in a hospital palliative care department. Every day, I helped patients define what quality of life meant to them, managed symptoms, and supported families through end-of-life care.

I kept hearing the same words: "I wish I would've taken that trip". And I noticed something remarkable -- those who had chased their dreams seemed to meet life's end with a deeper peace.

That changed everything for me.

David and I made a promise: no more "someday". We began checking off our own bucket list adventures, traveling to places we'd only dreamed about. Along the way, we fell in love -- not just with the destinations, but with the thrill of crafting perfect trips.

Now, through our curated travel agency, we want to bring that same magic to you. Whether it's a once-in-a-lifetime bucket list journey or a spontaneous getaway, we'll design an experience that's seamless, personal, and unforgettable -- so you can live your story to its fullest.
