THE USA

The most spectacular places in America are the ones you haven't figured out how to reach yet.
There's a version of the American wilderness that most people never access, not because it's hidden, but because it requires a level of logistics and local knowledge that a standard travel search won't surface. The floatplane drop onto a remote Alaskan river system. The private permit access into canyon country that sees a fraction of the traffic of the national park next door. The backcountry lodge in the North Cascades that doesn't advertise because it doesn't need to. The sea kayaking route through the San Juan Islands that takes a week and encounters almost no one.
This country has been set aside and protected at a scale that most Americans take for granted. The National Park system alone encompasses 85 million acres, and the designated wilderness areas, national monuments, and wild and scenic river corridors add tens of millions more. The infrastructure for experiencing all of it ranges from world-class to essentially nonexistent, and knowing which is which, and how to move between them, is where the real design work happens.
We build American wilderness itineraries for people who have already done the obvious trips and are ready for something that requires more imagination to find. The American West alone could occupy a lifetime of serious travel. We'll help you figure out which corner of it is yours, and then build the kind of access around it that changes what the trip is capable of being.

Itinerary inspirations
Each of these itineraries is a starting point — a canvas awaiting your colors. We’ll tailor every detail, from rhythm to route, until your journey feels unmistakably yours.

Ways to explore
Think of these as a glimpse of what’s possible. Together, we’ll design a journey that reflects your style and spirit.

SUNRISE ACCESS & QUIET HORIZONS
Experience America’s most iconic parks before they wake — private dawn entry arranged through specialist rangers and guides. As the light climbs the canyon walls or spills across alpine ridgelines, you witness landscapes in their truest form: hushed, unhurried, and yours alone for a fleeting hour of stillness.

REMOTE WILDLIFE TRACKING
Move beyond roadside sightings to deliberate, respectful pursuit — guided by naturalists who read wind direction, prints, and terrain like a living map. Whether shadowing wolf movements in Yellowstone, watching bison migrations at distance, or locating desert bighorn at elevation, this is wildlife seen on its terms, not ours.

BACKCOUNTRY & STILLNESS EXPERIENCES
Far from public bathhouses and highway pull-offs, soak in seldom-visited natural springs reached only by hike, snowcat, or helicopter transfer. Pair the immersion with guided breathwork, cold-plunge glacial pools, dark-sky astronomy, or simple fireside silence — restorative rituals drawn directly from the land’s own rhythms.

FIRESIDE GASTRONOMY
Where rugged settings meet refined dining: think hyper-local feasts prepared by private chefs, forest-foraged components reimagined with technique, and elevated meals enjoyed under vaulted sky instead of white tablecloths. Earth-born ingredients, wilderness-bound service, and story-driven flavors create a style of luxury inseparable from place.

Where you'll stay
We don't book beds. We select base camps. Every property here was chosen because it earns its place in the landscape and adds something to the journey that a different property simply couldn't. Some are remote. Some are remarkable. Most are both.

CLIFF HOUSE
Perched above crashing Atlantic surf, Cliff House blends coastal drama with refined comfort. Floor-to-ceiling windows, sea-sprung terraces, and locally sourced cuisine make it an ideal base for island-hopping and tidal foraging. Mornings begin with ocean light and coffee; evenings end with lobster suppers and the hush of offshore tides. Here, wilderness meets hospitality on a dramatic shoreline.

SHELDON CHALET
Perched on a nunatak within Denali’s amphitheater, Sheldon Chalet is the ultimate alpine cabin: heli-access only, warm luxury in an arctic frame. Step out for glacier walks, stargaze beneath impossible clarity, then return to exquisitely finished suites and farm-to-plate meals. The experience is intimate, remote, and cinematic — the mountains become the room in which you live.

ENCHANTMENT RESORT
Set at the base of Boynton Canyon on seventy acres of red rock and Coconino National Forest, this property sits close enough to a network of well-known Sedona trails to make hiking straight from the room a genuine option. Pueblo-style casitas blend into the canyon walls around them, most with private decks and several with kiva fireplaces, and the on-site restaurant leans into regionally inspired cooking with real depth behind it. Guests get access to a well-regarded spa next door, and an on-site astronomer runs stargazing sessions for anyone who wants the desert sky explained rather than just admired.
