OUR
STORY

Where the journey began

Some journeys change the way you see the world. For us, that moment came in Belize in 2008.

We had always been drawn to wild places. The rush of whitewater, the rhythm of a trail, the quiet awe of a hidden cove. But Belize revealed something deeper: travel that felt both untamed and intentional. Days filled with exploration gave way to evenings of stillness, good food, and the kind of conversation that only happens when you're genuinely away.

It was the first time we felt adventure and comfort working together rather than against each other.

And it changed what we wanted from travel permanently.

A way of traveling

Years later, beneath the Patagonian sky, that idea came into sharper focus.

We spent our days hiking windswept ridgelines and tracing glacial valleys. At night we returned to warm lodges, shared meals, and the kind of quiet that only exists at the edge of the world.

That trip confirmed what Belize had suggested: the most meaningful travel doesn't ask you to choose between exploration and ease. It gives you both.

That balance, wildness and refinement, discovery and comfort, eventually became the foundation for Peregrine.

From passion to purpose

Peregrine began with a straightforward goal: to help others experience the kind of travel that had shaped us.

Over the years we've wandered through temples, hiked forest trails, paddled quiet lakes, and explored national parks with our three kids, always chasing the moments that become stories you tell for years. Travel has been the thread running through our family's life, and we've learned firsthand how hard it is to carve out time for it that actually means something.

Between packed schedules, an overwhelming number of options, and the anxiety of getting it right, planning a trip worth taking is harder than it should be.

That's where we come in. Our job isn't to book travel. It's to design journeys that fit your life and reflect what matters most to you.

The natural evolution of travel

We've noticed a pattern in the way people travel over time. It rarely stays the same.

Most begin simply: a weekend away, a beach trip, a first family vacation somewhere familiar. Then something shifts. The resort gives way to a national park. The beach gives way to a rainforest. The organized tour gives way to something more open-ended and harder to describe.

The appetite for depth grows. The tolerance for the generic shrinks.

We've lived that progression ourselves, and we've watched it happen with nearly every traveler we've worked with. It's one of the reasons Peregrine exists: for the people who are somewhere in that evolution and ready for someone to help them take the next step.

Our promise

We work with properties, guides, and partners who share a genuine commitment to the places they operate in: protecting wild landscapes, supporting local communities, and making sure the cultures we visit are respected rather than consumed.

This isn't a policy. It's a condition of how we work.

The wild places we love are worth protecting. The people whose homes we pass through deserve better than being a backdrop. We take that seriously, and so do the partners we choose.

What's in a name?

The peregrine falcon is one of the world's great travelers: swift, far-ranging, and completely at home in wild landscapes across the globe.

We chose the name because it reflects the kind of journeys we love to design. Bold but intentional. Adventurous but purposeful. Moving freely through the world, but always with somewhere worth going.
