PUERTO VALLE

The only luxury lodge in the Esteros del Iberá, an authentic Argentine ranch from 1868 on the Paraná River, with private access to Laguna Valle and Portal Cambyretá, the site selected for the reintroduction of the red macaw. Thirteen rooms, an organic kitchen garden, and a restaurant that draws on river fish, tropical fruits, and local ingredients. The northern portal makes it a natural gateway between the wetlands and Iguazú.

RINCÓN DEL SOCORRO

The farm that Doug and Kris Tompkins acquired in 2001 to launch the most ambitious rewilding project in the Americas, now operating as an estancia lodge at the heart of Iberá National Park. The buildings are restored 19th-century ranch architecture, the food is organic and largely grown on the property, and the biologists from Rewilding Argentina are on-site and available to guests. This is the alternative to Puerto Valle for those who want to be at the epicenter of the conservation story rather than at the northern gateway to it.

AWASI IGUAZU

Fourteen villas on stilts in the Atlantic Rainforest, 20 minutes from the falls, each with a private guide and 4WD vehicle for the duration of the stay.
