ARGENTINA

ARGENTINA DEMANDS MORE THAN A WEEK

Argentina is one of those countries that attracts a certain kind of traveler who thinks they already know what it is. Buenos Aires, Patagonia, a Malbec or two. And those things are real and worth having. But the country has a way of revealing itself in layers, and the first layer is rarely the most interesting one.

The estancia culture of the pampas is a world unto itself, unhurried and deeply rooted, where the rhythms of the land still set the schedule. The high desert of the northwest, around Salta and Jujuy, looks more like Bolivia than Buenos Aires and carries a pre-Columbian weight that most Argentina itineraries skip entirely. The Lake District moves at a pace that makes Patagonia feel crowded by comparison. And Patagonia itself, the Argentine side especially, rewards the traveler who isn't racing to check it off.

We design around that kind of depth. A working estancia where the asado is a three-hour ritual, not a restaurant dish. A private wine experience in Mendoza that goes well past the tasting room. Time in Patagonia calibrated to weather and light rather than a fixed schedule. Argentina has enough country to fill several trips, and we'll help you figure out which version of it is yours.
